How I can connect a DVD player and Wii to the TV at the same time?

I have a Samsung TV and a DVD player and just got a Wii. Both the Wii and DVD player only has red, yellow and white cables. I can only seem to get one to connect properly. Please help. I have red, blue and green wires that someone suggested, but have no idea of how their work because for me it is not blue on the wii or dvd player.
