GTM-12 Does not integrate well with Nuvi350?

I have a Garmin Nuvi 350 and am thinking about getting a traffic antenna GTM-12. I read the reviews (Favorable and otherwise) as to whether certain Garmin Gps units voluntarily divert traffic based on how well they can follow the icons. Does anyone have any comments specific as to the integration of 350 and GTM 12? If possible, indicate where you live and how happy you are with the traffic information received.
