Satellite Navigation How I can get a map update (Garmin)?
I just bought a new garmin How I can nuvi255.how get a map update because it is out of date some of the roundabouts in my area that took more than 18 months ago are still showing in screen.will i get a free upgrade, as just bought in a store ... and how do I do ......
Just FYI: you can buy a Nuvi 255W with maps covering the whole of Europe for £ 113 including shipping, so do not think a $ 199 map update is economically sensible. I have to ask Garmin I remind you that TomTom has this "latest map" agreement, which let you download the latest maps once, free of charge only after purchase and see if you're going to solve when compared to its main rivals. If you're in the UK, then back to the store and say "products not fit for purpose" since the maps are incorrect. If you still have the option of returning the Nuvi, TomTom also allow you to make your own changes, like your map, upload them to TomTom and download other changes in your area. I think Garmin are ahead of other characteristics, but this is an area where TomTom wins. TomTom PS only cost me 45 pounds full map of the U.S., so they are reasonable when you have to buy the maps also.
