Is there GPS software for XP that allows me to use my laptop screen instead of a single unit-independent?

Last year I bought a small Gps Receiver to use with my PocketPC and matters related to TomTom, but I broke the PocketPC. Now I have a mini-laptop and would like some so its use in the car with the same purpose. Does anyone know if there is software for Windows XP that would allow me to do that? not have to be TomTom. Thanks
